Day out

We like to get involved in helping the local community, up here in Scarborough. In February, the Marketing Team joined forces with Scarborough Parks, Countryside Services and Conservation volunteers to help build part of a new wheelchair accessible wooden boardwalk in the conservation area of Forge Valley.

It was a great fun day out too.

Wind Turbines are the way to go

This November saw our production site at Whittlesey reach for the sky, quite literally, when three 80 metre high turbines were installed. They are some of the highest currently seen in England, and means we can now claim to be the first major industrial plant in the UK to be powered predominantly by wind.

Created in collaboration with Aardman Animations, the Oscar winning team behind Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run, and the digital whiz kids from glue London, the challenge was to make an interactive animation with stop-frame characters based around the importance of a McCain specially selected potato!
