Two new winter warmers from McCain to heat up the frozen food aisle
Giving consumers even more reasons to stay in this winter, potato company McCain
Foods is extending its range of potato products with new Homebakes and Sage &
Onion Wedges.
Mark Hodge, Retail Marketing Manager at McCain said: “McCain is consistently creating
new products to respond to the consumer demand for foods that offer choice, practicality,
enjoyment, but significantly represent good value at mealtimes. As part of the McCain
‘It’s all good’ philosophy, it’s important for us to continually innovate and inspire
consumers with quality products made using real, simple ingredients.”
October sees McCain launch NEW Homebakes, another potato favourite. A new addition
to the potato portfolio, Homebakes has a launch price of £1.49 (usual RRP £1.79).
McCain Homebakes are slices of potato covered in a creamy sauce that creates a delicious
potato bake from the oven in just 25 minutes - just tip, bake and serve. Available
in two varieties: Creamy Cheese and Creamy Garlic.
New seasonal flavour McCain Sage & Onion Wedges are the latest extension to
the Wedges portfolio and are ‘perfect for sharing’ finger food or ideal for a main
meal. The winter edition will sit alongside current flavours Lightly Spiced and
Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper from October. As with all McCain products, McCain
Wedges are true to the McCain ‘It’s all good’ promise: simply cut potato and natural
flavours.
This winter, McCain is inspiring consumers to try ‘movie nights in’ over a bowl
of tasty McCain Wedges by partnering with Sky Movies Comedy for a year-long sponsorship
of its channel from late September.
